Each pack will contain either 1 Base Autograph(not serial-numbered), Silver
Parallel Autograph(serial-numbered to 10), Gold Parallel Autograph(serial-numbered

The Yankee Stadium Legacy cross-product insert program is receiving very
favorable response from all sides of the trade, and will be sure to gain
momentum as we approach Yankee Stadium’s final season in the Bronx. A 7500 card
set!! We haven’t announced the details yet, but plans are underway to reward
those who are first to complete this gigantic set, and the rewards will be VERY
special. Some of the incredible buybacks will be include some of the most
desirable cut cards that we have ever produced!
We have a plethora of rookie cards slated for UD Series I, including standouts
like the Yankee’s future staff ace Ian Kennedy who was called up in September
(and is yet to have any rookie cards released from ANYONE). Remember, under new
MLBPA rules, players called up after September 1st cannot be put in MLB product
until the early releases of the next season, so there will be plenty of them in
UD Series I. We have the new rookies covered as well, as every hobby box will
contain one rookie redemption card for those players who make opening day
rosters but who could not be included in the product.
Upper Deck now holds the rights to the very popular O-Pee-Chee name, which has
deep roots in baseball cards. In 2008 UD Series I MLB, we will be paying homage
to the popular 1969 OPC Baseball set, and will also be including a bunch of OPC
buybacks that would be an incredible addition to anyone’s collection.
2008 UD MLB I will also feature some of the best photography that the industry
has ever seen. Collectors gravitate to this brand for this very reason, and this
year’s will not disappoint. We have also added value to every pack by increasing
the number or cards to 20 per pack (15 last year).
The legendary 500 HR Club cards return with this release, and will include new
inductees Jim Thome and Frank Thomas. This is probably the most collected
high-end memorabilia card set that the hobby has ever known, so collectors will
be anxious to add to their sets with these two new subjects.
There is nothing more important than timing. To that end, UD MLB I will be
releasing in EARLY FEBRUARY, to take advantage of all of the pent up demand for
new MLB trading cards. Spring Training will be right around the corner when this
releases, and baseball fever will be at its annual high.

Baseball to Include Two Special Programs Targeted at Collectors
The Exquisite experience doesn’t end after the packs are opened; it’s only the
beginning
Carlsbad, CA – (January 10, 2008) – After making its debut a year ago as a
popular exchange set, Exquisite Baseball is back this time as a stand-alone
product. The 2007 Exquisite Rookie Signatures collection boasts plenty of cool
content for hobbyists in search of top rookies. Collectors can find autographs
from rookie sensations such as Ryan Braun, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Troy Tulowitzki,
Hunter Pence, Joba Chamberlain, Phil Hughes and Tim Lincecum.
Upper Deck’s 2007 Exquisite Rookie Signatures has a lower suggested retail price
($300 per six-card pack) than the $600 per pack price tag for the previously
released Exquisite Football and Basketball products. But even at the lower price
point, it delivers: Five of the six cards in each pack will be autographed and
at least one will be a multi-player autograph card! The product is not just
focused on rookies, however. Collectors will also find signatures from

In addition, there are two special promotions that are sure to get collectors
very excited on top of the already solid content.
First, each collector has the opportunity to pull an exchange card for Upper
Deck’s recently launched “Mystery Dual Cuts Autograph Program.” The lucky
collectors who register their cards first can then choose from a series of
one-of-a-kind dual-cut signature cards from famous deceased athletes and/or
celebrities. A total of ten of these rare dual-cut signature exchange cards will
be available in 2007 Exquisite Rookie Signatures. Be the first to register and
you will have the widest selection from which to choose.
The second promotion is a wrapper redemption opportunity where collectors can
submit their opened foil wrappers to the address below for the opportunity to
build their own 1-of-1 dual or quad autograph card.
Seven winners will be chosen each week for this six-week program so collectors
should start mailing in their wrappers from this product immediately, along with
their contact information. There will be a total of 42 winners with 21 creating
a dual autograph card and the other 21 creating a quad autograph card.
Collectors will be able to create their cards from almost any player in the set,
but here is a list of the main draws:
“Shop owners who we have talked to about this promotion – the chance to build
your own dual autograph card – feel like collectors will really enjoy it,” said
Jason Masherah, Upper Deck’s Baseball brand manager. “We did not want to issue
them as exchange cards because those sometimes just sit in packs waiting to be
found. We wanted to reward those collectors who were opening the product right
off the bat. Additionally, since the program will be complete after just six
weeks, it will allow us time to get the cards produced and mailed out to
collectors in a much more timely fashion.”
Winners will be chosen on January 18, January 25, February 1, February 8,
February 15 and February 22. Upper Deck’s 2007 Exquisite Rookie Signatures
